The Pacific Palisades pool scene
The Palisades gives you two worlds. Bluff-top homes with ocean-view pools and canyon-tucked backyards a couple of miles inland. Salt air and marine layer are real considerations. Morning fog can linger past 10 in summer. Bluff pools tend to run cooler than valley pools year-round, so wetsuits for younger kids are worth having in early spring.
Scheduling note
Marine layer usually lifts by 10:30. Morning lessons after that are lovely.
